New Trainee Centre at our Penzberg plant

During recent weeks, we have completed and opened up our new Trainee Centre at the Penzberg plant; this light, spacious area in our manufacturing facility C is part of the department for fixture construction, prototypes and vocational training (VPA). At present, 7 trainees as industrial mechanics and cutting machine operators belong to this department.

A new foundations zone has been set up where manual skills can be learnt during the first phase of training. This is followed by initiation into the use of conventional milling and turning machines, and finally the operation of state-of-the-art CNC machines (up to 5 axes). It is here that our trainees produce devices and machine spare parts and then install the components for our production facilities; this ensures their practically oriented vocational training.

But at the same time we also offer trainee projects such as making metal chess figures, table-top football units or stands for wheel changing. The numerous awards our trainees have received speak for our approach to vocational training.

As from 1st September 2021, we not only again offer places for new trainees in these fields but we also have a new Head of Industrial Training (on right of photo) who will officially take up this job. He did his vocational training at Schleicher Fahrzeugteile and can now pass on his experience and skills to the next generation.

You are still welcome to submit your application for one of our trainee places as an industrial mechanic and cutting machine operator (m/f/d) as from 1st September 2021 via our application portal.
